We can share all the terms and ideas and programs, but at the end of the day there has to be a real connection between the language and the person. It's easy to repeat the ideas, but it's a different thing to align and have them become a part of you.
When we talk about things we love and have passion for, the words come easy. The "asks" aren't as hard because you have bought in so far that you believe in what you need and where you need to go to achieve more.
The Right Horse Initiative to The American Saddlebred Legacy Foundation was the right connection. We needed to get plugged in to educated, forward thinking people. The horses need this too.
There are many things at the end of the day we all perceive as valuable, important and cherished, but collaboratively coming together across states, breeds and people to massively impact homes for horses is something we should all be able to get behind.
We want to hear from you all about what you like and don't like, want to see more and less of. We will continue to do outreach through blogs, speaking events and social media posting, but we want to be sure we are constantly reaching new people and elevating the movement, positively for change.
